ATC: 1,2,3

The theme of this swap bot swap was 1,2,3.

As it is Christmas I used some cute little penguins for my interpretation.   Stamps and Dies from Lawn Fawn, Technique Tuesday and Papertrey Ink.

Super cute and super fun to make.

From one Penguin...

to two of them...

and from two penguins...we go to three...1,2,3.

Season greetings!

ATC: Pink Christmas

Another swap with Swap bot,  this one's theme was Pink Christmas.

I used a really cut die from Whimsy Stamps.   Overall I kept this ATC pretty simple because I wanted to focus on the sleigh.

Love Christmas and this chance to share the joy.

Boxes - Quick n Cute

I wanted to give a little gift to a couple of work colleagues.  I had some chocolates from Australia but wanted to make them look pretty.  So I whipped out the envelope punch board, some 6 x 6 designer paper and these little gift bags came to life.

Some stamping and a little twine to finish them off and my little gifts were ready to go...

The inspiration for this was found on you tube...Go find this video (see link below) if you want instructions to make this little cutie.

Thanks for stopping bye

Photo Stacks - Christmas

This is the 4th and last (for this project) post about my photo stacks.  As mentioned in the last few posts the details on how to make this style of phot stack is in my first post - Photo Stacks - Boy Themes.

This post is just showing the final two which are Christmas themed.

Papers are by Fancy Pants:

Happy Holidays - Tree Lot
Happy Holidays - Snowfall
Happy Holidays - Festive

Also used in these photo stacks  - Clear Acetate and rub on's.

The scoring for the Acetate was @ 3" on the 12' side - I then used the clear layer on top and added a rub on  - love the effect!

Otherwise same deal as the others, just mixed up the pages and reversed the sides and viola!  Unique and fun photo stacks ready to capture Christmas memories.

I hope you enjoyed checking out my photo stacks...am still considering whether to do a you-tube showing detail for each page - we'll see.

I can say this was fun and quick and I now have lots of Photo stacks ready for use.

Keep smiling something crafty could happen today.

Photo Stacks - Pretty Girl

In my continuing effort to catch up on the projects I have been working on, here is the 3rd installment of my photo stacks project.  For details on how they were made visit my blog post Photo Stacks - Boy Themes.

This post is showing of the 2 girly themed stack that resulted from my efforts.

Papers by Fancy Pants:

Dancing Girl - Dancing Girl
Dancing Girl - Tutu
Dancing Girl - Hip Hop

The same three sheets of paper were used to make both stacks.  The papers were reversed and the order changed to give them a different look and feel.  I had lots of fun creating funky edges on these two.  Simple, fresh and girly...  They will be fun to use in a future project.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my Photo Stack projects.

Keep smiling something crafty could happen today.

Photo Stacks - School and more

This post is a follow on from my post about how to make the photo stacks...so if you missed that one and want to know how they are made look for my post about Photo Stacks - Boy Themes.

The top photo stack is sort of school themed, mostly because I put the paper with the words 'Spelling' on top.   I used the same papers in a different order for the next one and it doesn't look at all school like. Any ways, I have old school photos so I can see where this one might be used.  I also left this one without any punches or edging.  I wanted to have one that was nice and plain...lol.

For both the stack above and below I used papers by Fancy Pants - All Fall: Spelling, Recent, Fall Splendor.

I love how you can just put the papers in a different order and the photo stack looks completely different.  The other thing that gives this stack a different appearance is the use of punches and dies, each page has a decorative edge which I think gives it a great finish.

Both of the above photo stacks where made with the following papers:

Fancy Pants - Delight: Garden, Bubble, Potpourri

I think these two would be great for a birthday or some party type theme.  Cant wait to see how (and when) they get used!

Again I just mixed up the order of the pages and in some cases reversed the paper and instantly a different look.  Add the variety of punches and dies and you can come up with some pretty cool photo stacks - at least I think so.

Hope you enjoyed this look at my photo stack mania..two more posts to come with the rest of my completed 'Stacks'

Keep smiling something crafty could happen today.

Card - Dress Form, Easel Card

Hello Blog land!  Today I wanted to post pictures of some cards I made for friends this week.  I started off planning to just make one card, but it was so much fun and so easy I made 4.

These cards are all easel cards.  Made using the Tim Holtz Sewing Room - dress form die, Prima papers and some odds an ends around the craft room.

The example above was made with feathers, ribbon and rub-ons.

These 2 cards were each made with an assortment of ribbons and lace.  I was looking for the shabby chic look.

This one was made by cutting lengths of ribbon and adhering them in place.  I added a little wool trim to spice it up.

Thanks for checking out my card projects.

Happy crafting til net time,
Elle

Mini Album - USA 1: January 2013

Hey Blogger's

It's been a while since I posted.  But I have been crafting.  Finally got a chance to record a clip of the first (of probably a few) mini albums I will make to capture the memories of my trip to the USA in January of this year.

Now it's time to get the photos in...

Cheers

Layout: Frontierland

Note:  No papers were harmed (burnt) in the making of this layout!

Introducing...AJ.

This is one of my favorite moments from our recent trip over seas.  The gorgeous Prima (Craftsman collection) journal card tucked in behind the photo tells the tale of stumbling on the this Canon In the Disneyland Theme park.  I noted how AJ always wants me to pose and he is forever taking my picture...sigh. But this time I got him in on the action and boy did I get some great shots.

The tickets stubs reflect the date (hidden at the back), the Who (AJ), What (Defending Disney), Where ( Frontierland) , and then the third one is filled in to say Disneyland, Jan 2013.  The banner has Frontierland spelt out in stickers, AJ tells me the title almost looks like a Fort!

Tis a little bit strange..I have used chipboard in two layouts this weekend.  I love using Chipboard but struggle to find it in my local stores... Am very surprised to have found two pieces in my small collection that both made their way into a layout on the same weekend. :P

Supplies:

Paper:  Kaszazz
Cardstock: Kaszazz, and some scrap Bazzil (Kraft)
Metal Embellishments:  Tim Holtz Idealogy
Journal Card:  Prima - Craftsman
Stamps:  Tim Holtz
Letter stcikers:  Prima Roasarian
Chipboard/Wood:  Kaisercraft
Dies:  Tim Holtz - Tattered Banner, Ticket Strip, Harlequin Border

About a Boy - Introducing

Layout: Capture the Magic

Back from holidays, unpacking complete.  Craft room re organisation complete!  I might have brought home a few things...  And the other big things is I stopped past Office Works with my trusty SD card and printed off 452 photos, plus three in a larger photo size.  So when the weekend rolled around and overtime got cancelled I decided to jump in and start scrappin the memories.

This layout is extra special because the actual layout started at CHA in an awesome workshop at the Clearsnap booth.  Following is a picture of the project.  But since I don't currently scrap in the 8' by 8' it was a fun to take the class layout and make into a 12' layout and at the same time start using some of those photos...

Huge thanks to Cathie Allan who designed this project and the Clearsnap team for giving me the opportunity to take part in one of their workshops.

Supplies:
Clear Snap tool and supplies including: Ink; Colorbox pigment inks, Smooch and Top Boss Emboss.  White Card stock.
Stamps:  Impression Obsession
Dies:  Spellbinders

My additions:
Embellishments:  Vintage crochet doily's, Lace trim, Prima Flower
Chipboard:  WOW
Word Stickers: Tim Holtz - Chit Chat

Card: Designer Handbag

I had such a lovely time last night making a card for a very good friend.  My friend and work mate Nita is a designer bag fiend.  So when it came to a card idea for her birthday this week it was a no brainer.

With the help of a couple of purse die from Kasazz, some gorgeousness K & Company paper, some charms, pearls and paint I came up with this card.

For Nita it had to be a little bit special so I made her a little designer tag, an address book, she had to have her make-up (there's lipstick to...) and of course a girl needs her keys.  And with a planned holiday just over the horizon one must keep the passport handy...

I originally made the smaller bag to act as a make-up purse, but it was just a little to big.  So some tissue paper and some Hershey Kisses and it is just a little bonus gift.

Here's a little peek inside the back, you can see that the address book fits perfectly (and provides a great place for our team to write little messages).  Tucked in the inside pocket you can see her lipstick...she never goes anywhere without it.  And the make-up is now closed and tucked in ready to be pulled out for a touch up at any time.

Hope she loves it..  I sure had fun making it.
