Layout: Dream Spa

I really hated this photo. It just didn't work for me. But it is from my birthday 2010, and reflects part of what was an awesome day. And the Spa, it really was awesome. So I changed to photo to B & W and suddenly it didn't seem so bad. It was when  I added colour back to the flowers that I came to quite like the picture.

So with my 2011 goal of getting into the craft room more and with the aim to use embellishments, I came up with this LO.

The use of flowers were inspired by the creative crafters from Swirlydoos. The chipboard embellishment was inspired by Lucretia and her work at Wrapped in Paper (a local craft shop). Here's a close up of the decorations.

Supplies:
Chipboard lock - Kaiser Craft
Binding tape - Stamping Up
Small Swirls - Sizzix
Long swirl - Cricut
Flowers - Prima, Kaiser Craft
Clock - Tim Holtz Alterations die

Would love to know what other people opinion of this layout.  These are not papers I generally feel comfortable with and the use of flowers on my layouts is very new to me.

  1. Love this layout Elle. It is so you! Colours and embellishments work wonderfully well, and the photo looks great in B& W. Bring it along so we can see it next scrap n ight.
