Muttley, mum and I went to Sydney on Thursday and saw the eye specialist - Cameron. After he checked Mutt's eyes Cameron said that although there would be no improvement to Mutt's sight surgery could reduce the pain and discomfort. So, I had to leave him there ( and that was hard cos he didn't want to stay). I was told I wouldn't hear anything til much later in the day so mum and I went to find somewhere to sit and read while we waited. Not a very exciting afternoon but then I wasn't in the mood to do much. About mid afternoon I got call from the vet authorising a change in the planned surgery and then I didn't hear anything til after 7.00pm. Was a long day.
When I did hear the news was good. Mutt came thru the surgery and they where able to do most of the recommended things on his eyes. Whilst he wont see better he no longer has an elongated overgrown external tear gland, and his eyelash's are no longer rubbing his eyes. I couldn't see him that night but I got to collect him about 11:00 am on Friday. His eyes looked the best I have ever seen them and he was in great spirits... I'll keep you updated on the progress.
